Orsburn's Orcas are looking forward to a great year here on the Islands at Gavilan Peak. I am eager to meet those of you who are new, and happy to welcome back many familiar faces from last year!

• Our responsibilities as your teacher are:
  1. To provide a safe and productive classroom environment.
  2. To teach the standards, thinking skills and life skills.
  3. To help you to do your best.
     
     
• Your responsibilities as a student include:
  1. Displaying appropriate classroom behavior, and respect at all times.
  2. Following classroom procedures and routines.
  3. Coming to class on-time, prepared for school with appropriate materials, and ready to work
  4. You are required to have your agenda daily, and parents please check it daily for messages.
  5. Please let us know if you have questions, require help, or need to report serious problems or concerns.

• We have very serious food allergies in this group of students.
  1. No food is to be eaten in the classroom without  special permission.
  2. Home lunches are stored in a closed tub in the classroom.
  3. You are only allowed to bring plain water into the classroom to drink, in a resealable container.
  4. Gum is prohibited on the school campus and in the classroom.

• Students will be earning  twenty minutes of "Fun Friday" time each week by completing all work on-time and not getting any character slips each week. They can also earn a small treat on Friday each week. The class will get a special reward when the group earns all 20 points possible on the Behavior Beach chart.
